Spiced Roast Nuts
serves 2-4
Ingredients
285g plain mixed nuts
1/2 tsp East End paprika
1/2 tsp East End ground cumin
1/4 tsp East End extra hot chilli powder
1/4 tsp East End turmeric
1/4 tsp East End garlic powder
1/4 tsp East End ground ginger
1/2 tsp pink salt
1 tsp date syrup
3/4 tsp water
Method
PREHEAT YOUR OVEN TO 150 C / 302 F
Firstly, add the crushed chilli, paprika, cumin, chilli powder, turmeric, garlic powder, ground ginger and salt into a mixing bowl. Then, add in the date syrup and water and stir into a smooth paste.
When this is done, add in the nuts and mix them into the spice paste using a spoon or your hands, until evenly covered.
Next, line a baking tray with some baking parchment, and scatter the nuts on top. Then, add the nuts into the oven and cook for about 3-5 minutes until lightly toasted.
When the nuts are done, remove them from the oven and set them aside to cool. Then, serve immediately or store them in a jar to save for later.
